Southeastern Wisconsin Invasive Species Consortium (SEWISC) is having its Annual Educational Symposium on Wednesday, November 14th, at Havenwoods State Forest Environmental Awareness Center, 6141 N Hopkins St, Milwaukee, WI 53209.
This year’s subject is about our lawns – two experts will discuss healthy lawns, using diverse grass species and varieties, and lawn alternatives. The speakers are Dr Doug Soldat from UW-Madison’s Department of Soil Science and Dr Dan Carter, Principal-Specialist Biologist at the Southeastern Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission.
This is a great opportunity to learn from experts with years of experience about manageable, sustainable lawns with lessons that can apply to all of us.
The talk is from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. and is free and open to the public. There will be refreshments and a raffle.
