SUMMARY:Between the Lawn and the Wild
DESCRIPTION:Southeastern Wisconsin Invasive Species Consortium (SEWISC) is having its Annual Educational Symposium on Wednesday\, November 14th\, at Havenwoods State Forest Environmental Awareness Center\, 6141 N Hopkins St\, Milwaukee\, WI 53209. \nThis year’s subject is about our lawns – two experts will discuss healthy lawns\, using diverse grass species and varieties\, and lawn alternatives. The speakers are Dr Doug Soldat from UW-Madison’s Department of Soil Science and Dr Dan Carter\, Principal-Specialist Biologist at the Southeastern Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission. \nThis is a great opportunity to learn from experts with years of experience about manageable\, sustainable lawns with lessons that can apply to all of us. \nThe talk is from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. and is free and open to the public. There will be refreshments and a raffle. \n  \n
