Kettle Moraine Land Trust has carefully begun resuming volunteer restoration outings this fall, with careful observation of protocols to protect ourselves from the CIOVID-19 virus. Ecological restoration appears to be a relatively safe way to spend quality time outdoors, lifting our spirits while caring for the lands we love. Perhaps you’ll join us for one of our upcoming outings.
Saturday, October 24 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at Jackson Creek Preserve. Meet at Four Lakes Athletic Club, 351 E Morrissey Dr, Elkhorn, WI 53121 and park at the far east end of the parking lot, furthest from the building entrance.
This fall workday will consist of thinning the willow population and possibly collecting native seed.
The workday runs from 9:00 a.m. to noon. Please arrive masked and bring your own work gloves, drinking water, and any snacks. If you have loppers or a handsaw, please bring them.
Due to Covid-19 guidance, participation is limited to 10. Please RSVP to info@kmlandtrust.org so we can keep track of the number of participants.
