Kettle Moraine Land Trust partners with Walworth County on managing both Price and Natureland Parks. On Saturday, October 27th, the County held a workday at Price Park. About 15 volunteers came to collect seed and cut and treat invasive species.
Seed was collected from the large prairie area. Volunteers looked for lead plant, baptisia, purple and yellow coneflower and round headed bush clover.
Invasives were cut near the fen and the pond.
Volunteers enjoyed a lunch provided by the County, and look forward to returning in the spring. The County hosts two workdays at each park every year. For more information, contact Colleen Lesniak, Walworth County Volunteer Services at 262-741-4223.
