There’s no better way to start Mother’s Day than an early morning bird walk at a beautiful local area! This year KMLT hosted the annual event at Beulah Bog State Natural Area, along with Friends of the Mukwonago River. Derek Sallmann, FOMR, and Jim Marrari from KMLT and The Wild Ones, guided the group through the oak woodlands and the bog itself, finding many species of birds. Jim and Derek posted the bird list on eBird.org so participants can review what they saw.
Birds were even visible when the walk was ending from the parking lot!
