DESCRIPTION:Saturday\, May 10\, 8:00-10:00 a.m.\, with check-in\, coffee and muffins at 8:00 a.m.. \nPlease join us for a morning bird hike at Petersen Island Woods Preserve. We are honored to welcome back Kevin Dickey\, chapter president for the Lakeland Audubon Society. Kevin has been leading this annual hike for several years and we always learn so much from his expertise. \nWear sturdy walking shoes\, dress for the weather. We’ll have extra binoculars on hand\, and feel free to bring your own. We’ll also use the Merlin Birding App to capture (electronically) what we observe!  We’ll hike in search of local birds\, and go over observation tips for identifying what we’re hearing and seeing. There will be nature based birding activities for children and children at heart.. \nThis event is appropriate for all ages. Free. Please register in advance. Register here

SUMMARY:Fourth Saturday Stewardship at Beulah Bluff Preserve
DESCRIPTION:Join us for our fourth Saturday Stewardship Day at Beulah Bluff Preserve. Depending on the weather\, we’ll be brush cutting\, seeding\, conducting controlled burns and other natural area restoration activities conducive for the season. Bring water and dress for the weather. Ages 18 and up\, no experience needed. Children under 18 welcome with adult chaperone\, gain service hours and experience in the conservation field.  \nRegister here.  \nPlease register in advance so that we can contact you with any changes in the schedule. Workday may be cancelled or rescheduled in the case of inclement weather.  \n
