Join us for a joint meeting of the Kettle Moraine Chapter – Wild Ones and Kettle Moraine Land Trust with a presentation by Martha Bergland and Paul Hayes about their book, “Studying Wisconsin: The Life of Increase Lapham – Wisconsin’s Renaissance Man.” Lapham was 25 when he moved to Milwaukee to work as a canal and railroad engineer and cartographer. He was curious about all aspects of the natural world and is considered the Father of the US Weather Service. He published many books and papers about Wisconsin’s natural wonders and won many awards. The authors will discuss Lapham’s many interests and accomplishments in what is sure to be an inspiring morning.
There will be door prizes and refreshments.
Everyone is welcome and there will be no charge for attending.
