Sunday, May 9, 2021 from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Adam Birding Conservancy, Whitewater
In this annual tradition, members and friends of KMLT follow experienced birders in exploring a natural area to hear and see a rich variety of avian adventurers migrating to or through our region, establishing their territories, and raising their young. Group leaders will include Kevin Dickey of Lakeland Audubon, Stacy Iwanicki of Illinois DNR, Ron Branum and Justine Neslund, both of McHenry Audubon. Adam Birding Conservancy is a private, 331-acre preserve known as a birding hot spot. This outing is suitable for all ages, but children must be accompanied by responsible adults; moderately strenuous hiking will include areas that may hold standing water.
There is no fee for any of these educational programs, but advance registration is required. (Freewill donations always are accepted with gratitude.) Due to COVID-19 restrictions we may need to limit the number of registrants that we safely can accommodate. Contact firstname.lastname@example.org to register, or for more information
