On Saturday, October 20th, 16 intrepid volunteers came to Beulah Bluff Preserve to collect seeds and control invasive species.
The weather was blowy and cold but the volunteers managed to collect seed from Little Bluestem in the prairie areas under the direction of Maggie Zoellner, Executive Director. Other volunteers worked with Stewardship Chair Herb Sharpless on cutting and treating invasive species on the slope.
Kettle Moraine Land Trust appreciates the volunteers braving the weather and hopes they’ll return in the spring when seed will be sown
on bare spots and there will be more invasives to treat!
